Phyllis Hoffman is as wonderful as everyone says. She speaks of "Victoria"in the same glowing terms as we all do. She remebers the first issue she ever bought and talks of how she set time aside on the day it arrived just to escape into the pages of Victoria. "Is it going to be the same magazine?" She asks and answers "Yes, it is going to be the same as the wonderful Victoria we all fell in love with."
She lives her passion for Victoria , as do her twin sons and daughter-in-law.
Tonight we attended a cocktail party, an intimate affair with only about 70 people in attendance.
We personally met Ms. Hoffman, and the staff of Victoria. Each made an effort to speak to everyone in the room individually. It was glorious.
Karen and I introduced ourselves to Ms. Hoffman as representatives of MMP ~ she laughed and said "You sent me a cherry pie. It arrived on September 10, my Daddy's Birthday. Momma and I got slices and Daddy ate the rest." She went on to tell us that she and her mother just found out that cherry pie is her father's favorite pie, but he had not said so for many years because everything her mother baked was so fabulous he never wanted to complain. They have been married 60 years.
Karen and I are excited for the events tomorrow ~ we will be at forums, Q and A sessions, and meet and mingles~we will report back tomorrow.

How wonderful they aren't going to change everything and call it 'improved'. Somethings are just fabulous the way they are/were.

Oh how absolutely wonderful to hear how everything is going at Bliss. So much to look forward to! And MB, I'm glad she acknowledged THAT DANG PIE! I'm sure Sharon and Karen are taking in every important drop of information so we can all live vicariously through the two of them!
I once had so many years worth of issues. I allowed myself to be talked into letting them go. I am happily looking forward to the return of V.
