"Inspired by My Daughters"

Kathleen of Prim and Sassy Cottage Creations tells her story....

"I started sewing when I was 8 years old and continued my hobby all through high school and college when I received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. I then pursued my passion for design by obtaining my Master's Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. I have been a college professor in Fashion for almost 15 years and have always done free-lance design in clothing and interiors. I started my line of children's clothing after my daughters were born when I found the market lacking in the type of romantic clothing that I wanted for my girls. My daughters are total opposites, one is very quiet, prim and proper; the other is outgoing, creative and sassy. This is how I came up with the name for my company, Prim and Sassy Cottage Creations. I love all things beachy, cottage, and shabby chic and love finding soft romantic floral fabrics to use in my designs. I also love vintage textiles and finding new uses for discarded linens."
